I’m busy with creating my business at the moment. That means that I’m busy with work 24/7, except in the 6-7 hours that I’m sleeping. What am I doing and how does my day look like? I will let you in on that today!
Alright, first of all I’m working fulltime als a freelancer in recruitment, which is amazing. But that’s 8 hours of my day (when I work from home) and that means that I still have 9 hours left in my day. Ofcourse I need time everyday to take a shower, to make breakfast, lunch and dinner and also to exercise. I think that will take about 3 hours (exercise is 1, shower and after that my make-up and getting dressed is also 1 and making my food is also 1). That leaves 6 hours that I can use focussing on the business.
For this website I’m busy with writing articles and post content on Instagram. Every day I reserve about 2-3 hours for this. I want a beautiful Instagram-feed and also use it to inspire people. It takes time to create that content. For the articles that I write, I want at least one hour, because the quality is important to me. I don’t want to post articles just to post them. I want to tell something and that something should be that other people want to read about. So if there’s something you want to read or know about, let me know.
I would love to write a book someday, so I’m taking some writing classes at home. I’m reading chapters about finding the story that you want to tell to the world and experiencing with your creativity. Writing a book is something for the future, but with this class I’m investing in that future. So I really don’t mind to spend time on this. I think I spend about 2 hours a day on this.
Do you know Masterclass? It’s a platform where a lot of celebrities and well-known people give a masterclass about their expertise. You have classes about acting, writing, entrepeneurship, music. You name it.
I just finished the masterclass of Elaine Welteroth about Designing your career, which was amazing. I love that woman.
Right now I’m busy with multiple other masterclasses:
- Creative writing by Margaret Atwood (The Handmaids Tale)
- Self-made entrepeneurship by Sara Blakely (SPANX)
- The power of personal branding by Kris Jenner (Does she need an introduction?)
- Writing for television by Shonda Rhimes (Grey’s Anatomy)
- Create makeup looks for any moment by Sir John (Yes, he’s the MUA of Beyoncé)
- Design Stunning Floral Arrangements by Maurice Harris (He has some TV shows)
And they have so much more though!
I usually spend about 2 hours a day at Masterclass. You can learn about how to set up a business (Sara Blakely), how you want to create and develop your carreer (Elaine Welteroth) and creating your personal brand (Kris Jenner). But sometimes I just use time to watch a masterclass about creating makeup looks or floral arrangements, because I love that stuff as well.
That’s it! That’s my day. I’m learning so much all day long and I have so many ambitions in creating my own business. I love this and I’m starting. Right now I’m putting my ideas on paper and checking out how I can develop them next to my fulltime freelance job.
Are you an entrepeneur? Or maybe you want to start your own business as well? What’s your story?
